Juan Gabriel López Guix
(b. 1959) is a freelance translator and has taught translation from English into Spanish at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since 1989. He has coauthored with Jacqueline Minett the textbook Manual de traducción inglés-castellano (Gedisa, 1996). He has translated numerous books and authors into Spanish, including Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland (Ediciones B, 2002). He has given lectures and run workshops, some of them on the translation of Alice, at various universities and literary translation centers in Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, the United States, Argentina, and Chile.
