Stefania Tondo is Associate Professor of English Literature at Suor Orsola Benincasa University, Naples, where she teaches English Literature (the subject of her doctorate at University La Sapienza, Rome), Children’s and YA English Literature, and English Language for the degree courses in Primary Education, Long-Life Education, Communication Studies and Cognitive Psychology. Her research interests focus on literary production and communication, translation, remediation for Children and YA Literature. She has published on Shakespeare, Victorian fantasy, Children’s Literature, Alice in Wonderland, Henry James and the art of letter-writing, and George MacDonald (Come il bambino. George MacDonald scrittore crossover, Graus Editore 2012 – English version forthcoming). She edited translations of classics into Neapolitan, Alice’int’ ‘o Paese d’ ‘e Maraveglie (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Franco Di Mauro Editore, 2002) and ‘Na Cantata ‘e Natale (A Christmas Carol, Franco Di Mauro, 2006). She is the author and the editor of an Italian version of No Child is an Island (ed. by Pat Pinsent, Pied Piper Publishing Ltd, 2006), Nessun bambino è un’isola (Graus Editore, 2007) and Omaggio a Lele Luzzati (Il filo di Partenope, 2008). She is part of Alice In a World of Wonderlands. The Translations of Lewis Carroll’s Masterpiece (2015).
